The World Championship in Cooperation culminates during 36 intensive hours at Riksplan - the grounds of the parliament building. The World Championship-construction becomes an arena of new ways to meet, interact and learn from each other.
The children create the arena and set the agenda, then invite the adults from all parts of society to an interactive meeting!
While building the Future Vessel, children are introduced to their fellow co-builders and see their marvelous creations. Now they can look to find innovative ways to connect the works around them in cooperative construction. Constellations of ideas grow into galaxies of creative expression! Plenty of on-site materials help the children build these links to their neighbours.
At the Future Vessel at Riksplan, next to the Riksdag’s building, children and youths are creating a common vision of a future they can be proud of. Starting point for the construction are the installations that have been brought from each home country which tell of positive involvement and local projects. The Future Vessel offers an arena for new ways to meet, interact and learn from each other.
The children are the ones who create the arena and set the agenda and it is the children who invite the adults from all parts of society for an interactive meeting. In the construction of the Future Vessel unknown knowledge of each other and common ground will be explored. It means that each and everyone choose how they want to come together and get to know each other in between the installations and expressions. In the Worldcic there is room for all the children’s languages and ways for them to express themselves. They come together in discussion, singing, writing, drawing, painting, dancing, poetry, constructions which requires a hammer, nails, wires, sowing machines and soldering-irons.No one is passive during the World Championships in Cooperation!
"All are children. My father has a mother. He is a child." Arvid, 6 years.
In the evening the children write wishlists to the Night-builders.
During the night youths, politicians, decision makers and the
children’s honorary guests will enter the Future Vessel to accomplish
the children’s wishes. The next morning the children, youths and adults
will meet in the Future Vessel to finish the construction with which
everyone has contributed and speak of all they have accomplished.
A froup from Sofiaschool built a robot "Robot of Peace" which eats weapons and can call the UN.

Quotes from participant children:
"It's indescribable. You have to be there!"
"No one tells you what to do, but you get help if you want"
"First you think about what's important and then you build it with others"
"You don't know what'll happen and it seems to never end, that's what's so fun!"
In the World Championship in Cooperation there's room for all the different languages and expressions of the children. They'll come together in discussions, singing, writing, painting, dancing, building...
The things that have been prepared in schools, organizations, municipalities etc will be placed at Riksplan where you can exchange ideas and get inspired by others. One idea leads to another and the inspiration never ends. No one will be passive in the World Championship in Cooperation.
Wish lists and the evening storytelling:
Before going home, the younger children write their wishes for the Night-builders to fulfill and then all gather to listen to an evening tale told by an indigenous Elder and an astronaut/cosmonaut. The storytelling revolves around Roots and Space.
The following day children, youth and adults marvel at the Nightbuilders nocturnal creations, add some final touches and reflect on and discuss the completed construction of the Future Vessel !
