The Process Print

The process follows: me - my class - the school - the municipality - the country - the world. It's an amazing and unpredictable trip about me in the world and the world in me.

Schools think about:

  • What are we proud of?
  • What do we want to show the world?
Before the World Championship you observe your surroundings, inspired by what you have already managed and also to find solutions to what is yet to be done. The schoolyard might be in disrepair and need a change, or maybe a class helps to build a school in another country...

Questions are a good start in the World Championship in Cooperation:
  • Can we do something about all the scribble?
  • What can we do about the dirty toilets?
  • Why is there so much poverty in the world?
Nothing is too small or too big to be brought up in the World Championship in Cooperation. No thought or question is unimportant.

The contributions

All groups coming to Stockholm bring what they're proud of and want to show to the rest of the world. It can be a concrete work or project you've done or a dream and ideas. These visualizations will become the base of the Future Vessel, the construction at Riksplan.

The visualization must become a concrete three-dimensional construction. Throughout the years, the Globetree has witnessed some remarkable creations, such as huge and colourful sails, fantastic time machines, an incredible mountain with bags that could be opened, an enormous hand, magical bridges, mystical stairs and wild waterfalls. The visualization can be very concrete and detailed or fly on the wings of fantasy!

Personal contributions

Each and every participant, young or old, also brings something personal to the World Championship in Cooperation. Something that symbolizes what you think is important in life. It can be something you have in your pocket and show to someone you meet during the championship, or something that's already a part of the three-dimensional creation. It can be a teddy, a thought of love, a stone from your grandmother's house, a construction that changes the world, a memory from a friend, a photo or a drawing from a special place in the world.

What you bring is an important part of the
World Championship in Cooperation
.

Many of you will present what you've created locally before coming to Stockholm. The World Championship in Cooperation provides a good opportunity to invite other classes from your twin towns, or projects happening across the world with groups that you cooperate with.

The process, step by step:

  1. Think about what's important to you and try to find something that symbolizes it. Think about what you're proud of, something you've achieved.
  2. Talk it over with your friends, about what you think is important and what you're proud of, and show them what you've chosen to symbolize it.
  3. Discuss in bigger groups what you're proud of. What would you like to show to the rest of us? What would you like to change and improve?
  4. Think about how you can present it to others in a three-dimensional form. It can take any shape or form, but remember that it needs to be practical to bring to Sweden (consider maximum weight with the airlines, so be clever!).
  5. Get together with others in the municipality/city and exchange ideas.
  6. Choose those who will represent your municipality/city at the manifestation in Stockholm.
  7. Prepare for your participation in the parade.
  8. Representatives from all over the world take part in the opening ceremony, "Our Uniting Water".
  9. The building of the Future Vessel starts by placing your installations at Riksplan.
  10. The younger children build during the day and then leave "wish lists" to the Night-builders.
